Like most of us, come January 1st Diva decided to make a New Year’s Resolution. And again, like most of us, it involves exercise. Unfortunately, since she is only a little Shetland pony, this resolution also includes me!
One of the many great things about owning a horse is that you get the chance to attend a wealth of equestrian events taking place across the UK, throughout the year.
It’s a new year and a fresh start as we enter 2020! I'm very excited about this year as I have a lot of plans as to what I want to achieve so best get my butt in gear! Annoyingly my back is still not 100% - although it felt better in the afternoon before I started back at work - typical grr!
We hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas!! It's been a bit hectic for us in the last couple of weeks running up to the big day but I'm pleased to say I managed to get the horsebox out to a show and it ran beautifully hurrah.

Unfortunately, as the festive season approaches, I have been struck down with a chest infection and so have not been able to plan Diva’s Christmas photo shoot as I wanted. I am sure she is quite relieved at this turn of events if her Halloween witch’s hat photos were anything to go by.
Vehicles, like horses, can be unpredictable, which is why it’s so important to follow the rules when riding or leading your horse on the road.
So we (well more me!) haven’t had much luck last week – the horse box was in for a bit longer as it sprung an oil leak ☹ so a bit of a delay and additional costs (but it should be coming home tonight hurrah!).
No one likes to see a horse suffer in silence. Our equine friends can’t tell us when something is wrong, so it’s down to us as responsible horse owners to spot the signs of illness or injury as quickly as we can.
